What ever happened to sin? Is it possible that we focus such a great amount of time and energy on the heinous sins we see around us that we refuse to see subtle, seductive sins within us? This summer our preaching team is tackling the topic of ‘Blind Spots : The Sins We Refuse to See.’ The first part to freedom is of course acknowledging the problem. This Sunday we’ll begin to look at where we go from here? There is salvation in the gospel. It always comes back to Jesus!
GOD IS ON THE MOVE THIS SUMMER
We’ve got some great activities this summer. Beginning this week, I’ll lead a group to prayer walk our Timber Creek neighborhood. We’ll have invite cards to share with our neighbors. Explore God groups will begin July 20. Also, our women are meeting together for prayer, encouragement, and accountability. The kids begin work on their musical. With all of these activities, it underscores how important our generosity to the mission really is. While you may be away on vacation this summer, remember your church will continue to love Flower Mound, North Texas and beyond. Determine now in your heart to be engaged this summer.
CHRISTMAS ALL YEAR LONG
Our Mission Team is challenging us to begin collecting now for Operation Christmas Child. We’re collecting toys during June. Think ‘wow!’ What item would fit in the shoebox which would immediately attract a boy or girl’s attention? Then find a few small items. Bring your toys to your small group room this weekend. Mission Team members will collect them from each room. Click on the toy image below for more information on the Operation Christmas Child website. (May collection was hygiene items; it’s not too late!) If you prefer you can give a monetary amount each month for the specific collection and team members will purchase items for you.
