Do you know the rest? I’m sure you do. ‘Like a good neighbor State Farm is there.’ The insurance agency promises to be there when you need them. Of course, if you pay them! Thankfully, the gospel is different. Jesus is there when life falls apart. When the doctor says, ‘It’s cancer.’ On your final breathe. Jesus will still be there. The good news? The price has been paid.
REACH TEXAS MISSION OFFERING
Texas is quite a mission field. The nations are coming to our backyard. They are becoming our neighbors. The Reach Texas offering supports gospel work in the state of Texas. By giving to it we participate in Great Commission work here at home. Reach Texas Mission Offering plants and starts churches. It helps churches like ours reach people with the good news. Through Reach Texas we can change lives.
PRAY FOR ME AND I’LL PRAY FOR YOU
I want to share a resource with you. It’s called, ‘I Will Pray.’ We used it in our April House of Prayer Gathering. It helps you as you pray for yourself, others, church and pastor, nation and the lost. This tool is like a grocery list for your prayer time. You’ll see more answers because you’re praying specifically. This Sunday you’ll find a copy in your bulletin. I encourage you to use it each day especially as we work through our Comeback Church Series. We want to hear what the Spirit says to Flower Mound First Baptist. Pray for me and I’ll pray for you. Our love for one another will abound and the unity of our body will be strengthened.
SEPTEMBER MEMBER MEETING
Our next First Team Rally is Sunday, September 18 at 5p. We will meet in Fellowship Hall. You’ll hear important updates from our ministries and of upcoming events. Also, that night the Search Team will formally present Quan Barnett as our Student Ministry Leader. The church will affirm their selection and officially call him.Afterwards, we’ll have a dessert fellowship. The church will provide drinks and paper products. Would you please bring a dessert to share? We’ll celebrate what God has done and about to do in the life of our church.
