ROOTS : New Member Class

If you feel God may be leading you to FMFB or just want to know more about us, our Roots class is the place for you. During this class you will hear the story of FMFB, meet some of the staff and leadership, learn about covenant membership, get to know others seeking a church home, and have the opportunity to ask questions that are important to you.

WHAT : An introductory discussion of who we are and where we are going as a church

WHEN : Held throughout the year immediately after worship (Check Events for upcoming Roots)

WHERE : In Fellowship Hall (Lunch and childcare provided)

Roots is a pre-requisite for Covenant Membership at Flower Mound First Baptist. Sign up for the next Roots Class!

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

1. Testimony of a Personal Commitment of Faith in Christ Jesus as Lord for Salvation (See The Gospel)

▪ Admit Your Fallen Condition

▪ Believe in the Person and Purpose of Jesus Christ

▪ Confess Jesus as Your Savior and Lord

2. Request Membership

▪ Baptism

▪ Transfer Membership

▪ Statement of Faith

3. Accept FMFB’s Membership Covenant

4. Church Affirmation and Celebration in a Member Meeting

The first two steps will take place with a pastor or deacon during or following a Roots Class.
