Merry Christmas at Our House

Christmas is only a few days away and I wanted to share about Christmas at our house.

On Christmas Eve morning, we will have normal small group and worship activities. Maybe you haven’t participated in a small group? Start this weekend. We have a special Christmas discussion planned (see below). Keeping Christ in Christmas doesn’t begin at the grocery or department store; it begins with the church. Some of the same people who complain about the commercialization of the holidays will miss worship on Christmas Eve morning and night. Make Christmas worship — at 10.30a — a vital part of your family’s Christmas plans.

Candlelight Christmas begins at 5p. The entire service will be by candlelight and kid-friendly. It won’t last long so get here on time! We’ll sing some of our favorite Christmas carols and hear the Christmas story.

It’s not too late to share those invites with a neighbor or friend. Also, go back to social media and share our invitations there. I’m grateful for each of you who have taken the time to share those on your news feeds. It only takes a moment. Here’s the link right here!

Then kick off your 2018 with us! On New Years Eve we will gather as one house at 9.15a in the Worship Center. We’ll begin with prayer, testimony, and singing. We’ll wrap around 10a for a time of fellowship and encouragement. Our worship gathering will begin at the normal time of 10.30a. That morning we wrap up our yearlong sermon series The Message. We’re focused on God’s promise to his people to make all things new. There’ll be a testimony of brokenness and healing. Bring your friends and neighbors to this!

On behalf of your FMFB staff, thank you for the Christmas Love Offering. It means so much that each of you care. If you’re traveling this holiday season, come home safe and sound!
