RESPONSES

As you read through Luke 19, you see a variety of responses to Jesus and his ministry. Luke 18 included the prayer of a tax collector. Now, in Luke 19, Jesus rescues and redeems the life of a tax collector. He illustrates the proper response of repentance and faith to the gospel. He welcomes Jesus into his home and walks away from greed. The next responses are a mixed bag. Some joyfully receive him. Others face the judgment of rejecting him. How does Jesus respond? Jesus is visibly broken over the spiritual poverty of Jerusalem. Are we moved to the same grief for the people around us? The gospel demands a response.

Use these questions to read, reflect, and live out Luke 19 this week:

Luke 19v1-10
How do you respond to the gospel?

Luke 19v11-27
How do you respond to his rule?

Luke 19v28-40
How do you respond to his demands?

Luke 19v41-44
How do you respond to his coming?

Luke 19v45-48

The Small Groups will study Luke 18 beginning May 13.
